According to Mp1st, Bungie has released version 9.7.0.3 of Destiny 2 as part of its latest maintenance cycle on July 7. This update serves as a significant patch aimed at refining the core combat experience and resolving technical hurdles within high-level activities like Raids and Dungeons.
Major Raid and Dungeon Adjustments
The update introduces several pivotal changes to the Pantheon encounter, specifically addressing mechanics involving Divinity. Developers have clarified that damage applied to the cage will no longer affect Insurrection Prime outside of designated phases. Additionally, the "remote" tether functionality in Consecrated Mind has been restored after a previous update made the boss fight unnecessarily difficult.
Other notable fixes within Raids and Dungeons include:
- Correction of an issue where elevators in Deep Stone Crypt would frequently kill players.
- Restoration of availability for the Master version of Duality.
- Fixes for elevator mechanics in the Operation: Seraph’s Shield exotic mission.
Crucible and Trials of Osiris Updates
Competitive play receives attention with several quality-of-life improvements. The Meltdown map has been reenabled across all Crucible playlists following the resolution of out-of-bounds exploits. Furthermore, a bug regarding suspension timers in Crucible playlists has been addressed to ensure they align correctly with a player's local time zone.
In Trials of Osiris, Bungie resolved an issue preventing some players from obtaining specific Ghost shells—namely Cursed Eternal and Pharaonic Shroud—from the flawless chest. The patch also addresses performance issues caused by the Pack Tactics artifact perk during long sessions.
Weapon Balancing and Visual Fixes
The update includes a variety of combat adjustments for various classes and weapons. For Hunters, a fix ensures Phantom Surge correctly triggers perks on weakened targets while Stylish Executioner is active. Titans also see improvements as projectiles are now properly blocked by Ward of Dawn in PvP scenarios.
Visual bugs affecting immersion have been patched, including issues where the Titan Flamecaller Gauntlets and Warlock Lightguard Robes obscured player vision during aiming or first-person play. Finally, players who lost Chronolog earnings due to vaulted items from Ash & Iron will receive compensation soon.
