Warzone Season 4 Patch Notes Bring Back Fortune's Keep and New

The highly anticipated Warzone Season 4 patch has been released, bringing significant updates to the battle royale experience. Among the key additions is the return of the popular Fortune's Keep map and the introduction of a new competitive mode called Clash. Furthermore, Activision implemented major security enhancements through RICOCHET anti-cheat systems, raising hardware requirements for full access.

Warzone Season 4 patch notes detail a comprehensive update designed to enhance both gameplay variety and competitive integrity across all platforms. According to Sportskeeda, the new season delivers multiple content additions, including map returns, fresh modes, and updated Ranked rewards.

Global Security Overhaul: RICOCHET Anti-Cheat

A major focus of the Season 4 update is the strengthening of anti-cheat measures via RICOCHET. To ensure fair matches for the broader community, players must now successfully complete Microsoft Azure Attestation (MAA) checks. This requirement dictates that certain hardware and system configurations must be active to maintain access to all playlists.

Players who fail the MAA attestation are placed into a separate matchmaking pool with limited playlist access, restricted primarily to Nuketown 24/7 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 or Battle Royale Casual in Warzone. To achieve full compliance, players must ensure their systems meet specific security standards:

  • TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module) is enabled.
  • Secure Boot is enabled on the system.

The update also provides guidance for AMD users, noting that certain versions of AMD’s TPM software in the 3.x.0.x range may generate errors during attestation, requiring a BIOS or firmware update to resolve.

New Content and Gameplay Modes

Beyond security updates, Season 4 introduces substantial content refreshes. The map Fortune's Keep has made its return to the Warzone playlist, offering players a familiar yet updated environment for battle royale action. Additionally, the new Clash mode has been added to the game’s rotation, providing fresh competitive options.

Illicit Cargo Camo Event

The patch also launches the Illicit Cargo Camo Event during Week 2. This event allows players to unlock exclusive cosmetic items and a powerful weapon through dedicated challenges across multiple modes. Participants can earn:

  • Remastered Weapon Camos sourced from Black Ops III titles.
  • A new VX Compact Assault Rifle.

To participate, players must complete Weapon Class Challenges in Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Call of Duty: Warzone. Completing all eight available Camos across these four modes grants access to a Mastery Camo.

These combined changes—from the return of Fortune's Keep to the stringent hardware requirements for anti-cheat compliance—signal a significant push by Activision toward maintaining high standards of competitive play within the evolving landscape of battle royale gaming. The new season promises both familiar fun and heightened technical demands on players.
