Engineering Compliance Through Localized Infrastructure
Building a compliant AI architecture in China required Apple to rethink how on-device features interact with server infrastructure. Rather than porting its standard cloud pipeline, Apple collaborated with Alibaba engineers to adapt algorithmic weights to meet local governance standards while maintaining high performance on consumer hardware.
