Dodge has revealed extensive changes to the 2027 Charger lineup, expanding customization and integrating modern charging technology. According to Carscoops, these updates cover both traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) models and the electric Charger Daytona Scat Pack.

Exterior Enhancements and Customization

For ICE-powered vehicles, buyers can now select a new Satin Black painted hood. The exterior graphic options have also been expanded, allowing for dual stripes in colors such as Satin White, Satin Black, and Gloss Red. Additionally, the lineup includes a Mopar accessory glass roof sunshade.

Performance enthusiasts will find further upgrades to braking systems; Brembo calipers are now available in orange and black finishes. The overall range of aesthetic choices has been significantly broadened for 2027 models.

Interior Upgrades and Performance Metrics

Inside the Scat Pack models, several key updates have been implemented. Buyers can opt for new Petrol Blue leather sport seats, which feature "Digital Slash" perforation and red contrast stitching—a departure from traditional black or red interiors. Furthermore, all Chargers are now available with Demonic Red seat belts to add a splash of color to the cabin.

The performance hierarchy remains clear across the ICE variants:

  • Charger R/T: Equipped with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six, it generates 420 hp and accelerates from 0–60 mph in 4.6 seconds.
  • Scat Pack: This high-output engine delivers 550 hp and achieves 0–60 mph in 3.9 seconds, making it the performance leader among ICE models.

The Electric Shift and Pricing Strategy

The Charger Daytona Scat Pack is positioned as the flagship performer with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing 670 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. It boasts an impressive acceleration time of 3.3 seconds for 0–60 mph, though its range is limited to 267 miles (430 km).

The most notable financial change concerns the electric model. While the standard Charger starts at $49,995, the Daytona Scat Pack EV has been priced at $72,495—an increase of $12,500. This significant price hike suggests that Dodge is actively adjusting its market strategy to manage demand for the slower-selling electric vehicle.

Dodge is currently accepting orders for the 2027 Charger, with vehicles scheduled to begin arriving at dealerships in the third quarter.
